We’re excited to announce that beginning April 10 and by invitation only, we’ll be able to welcome accepted students to campus on a limited basis. Please be aware that we are prioritizing accepted students who have not visited campus previously. We regret that we are unable to accommodate every accepted student and family member who may wish to visit; we will extend additional invitations to visit as capacity permits.
Goals:
- Provide accepted students and their parents/supporters with the best campus visit experience possible while maintaining the health and wellness of our campus community and visitors.
- Provide a sustainable variety of appointment times.
- Pre-registration (including an electronic screening for COVID-19 symptoms or exposure) is required.
Pre-registered Tour Experience Parameters (protocols were established in conjunction with the Health and Safety Advisory Group):
- To protect the health and wellness of our campus community, each tour group will be limited to a maximum of 10 people, and tours will be almost exclusively outdoors.
- To ensure that as many accepted students as possible are able to visit, only one accepted student and one guest per family may register.
- Visitors will be asked to complete a health screening on the day of their visit and prior to arrival on campus, regardless of vaccination status.
- This opportunity is a campus tour only. We are unable to accommodate any in-person appointments, class visits, or presentations.
- Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and is currently limited to accepted students.
- All visitors must pre-register and comply with New York State Travel Advisory guidance.
- A facial covering over the nose and mouth must be worn at all times, and physical distancing of six feet must be maintained.
- Visitors may park in reserved spaces in the Visitor Lot or P Lot.
- The Office of Admission will also continue to encourage engagement through virtual engagement opportunities at www.ithaca.edu/virtual-visit
These visit opportunities will be shared directly with eligible students and will not be publicized on the website. The tour will last approximately 60 minutes and will begin outside the Peggy Ryan Williams Center and conclude by “The Drummer” sculpture (between Dillingham Center and Smiddy Hall).
