The Retention and Engagement Strategy Team (REST) is conducting an inventory of all faculty and campus partners to understand when and why students are being surveyed, and the kinds of information campus members are gathering.
REST has been charged with creating a feedback system to gather and analyze input on students’ lived experience of IC. This system will span a student’s life cycle from pre-orientation through graduation by engaging them at regular, strategic intervals incorporated into the college calendar.
The purpose of the all-College inventory is to coordinate our system with other survey needs to prevent redundancy and survey fatigue. We seek to streamline instruments to avoid asking for information we already have, to share data with campus partners to maximize the impact of analytics and interventions, and to share findings with students to demonstrate they are heard and we are taking action to identify and meet their needs.
