Honorable Mention Photography: "Falling"
by Keri Friedman ’98
Keri Friedman ’98 is a photographer living in Portland, Oregon. By day she works for Lensbaby, which she calls “one of the coolest photographic companies around.” All other times she is seeing and shooting with either her digital SLR, old film cameras, or camera phone.
About the photo she says: “This was taken in the tiny, no-longer-maintained playground in the housing development in which I grew up, in Pennsylvania. Everything in the playground had a sad, graying pallor to it except for this slide covered in bright, colorful leaves. It connected me with my own happier, shinier memories of growing up and playing there."
Keri also received second place for her photograph, School House Blues.
