Important Message for the Campus Community

11/23/05

Contributed by David Maley

It is with a great deal of sadness that I inform the campus community of the death of one of our students. Senior Trevor Jahn was killed early Wednesday morning in an automobile accident while home during the Thanksgiving break. An applied economics major at Ithaca, he was also a cadet in the Army ROTC program at Cornell University.

Trevor's brother, Tyler, is a sophomore at the College. We extend our deepest sympathies to all of Trevor's family, friends, and classmates.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. this Saturday at the Warwick United Methodist Church in Trevor’s hometown of Warwick, New York. Directions to the church can be found at www.purtafuneralhome.com.

A memorial service will also be held at Ithaca College at a date to be determined. We will provide more information to the campus community as it becomes available.

Please keep Trevor and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this time of Thanksgiving.

Brian McAree
Vice President for Student Affairs and Campus Life
