The 2010 Cradle-to-Cradle Student Environmental Art Award has been given to the team consisting of Alyia Bettman (Art, 2010), Andrew Bradshaw (Biology, 2010), Seth Davidson (Art, 2010) and Nathan Meader (English, 2010).
The winning proposal was chosen from a group of six proposals submitted by a wide range of students on campus, offering interesting and intriguing ideas for this sculpture competition.
The winning proposal was chosen by the review committee because it best exemplified the "cradle-to-cradle" concept in its design and its engagement of the viewer.
The winning team's art installation will be unveiled as part of Ithaca College's Earth Day celebrations on April 22, 2010. In addition to receiving the Award, the team will share a cash award of $1000.
