Student Environmental Art Award Winners AnnouncedContributed by Susan Swensen Witherup on 03/01/10
The winning proposal was chosen from a group of six proposals submitted by a wide range of students on campus, offering interesting and intriguing ideas for this sculpture competition. The winning proposal was chosen by the review committee because it best exemplified the "cradle-to-cradle" concept in its design and its engagement of the viewer. The winning team's art installation will be unveiled as part of Ithaca College's Earth Day celebrations on April 22, 2010. In addition to receiving the Award, the team will share a cash award of $1000. For more information about the Cradle-to-Cradle Environmental Art Competition, please click here. This competition was supported by the HSBC Commit-to-Change Grant to the Environmental Studies and Sciences Department and the Partnerships for Sustainability Education. |
