Adam Peruta chosen for visiting professor program

Adam Peruta, assistant professor in the Department of Strategic Communication, was selected for the American Advertising Foundation’s 2011 Visiting Professor Program (VPP).

VPP is a two-week fellowship for professors of advertising, marketing, communications and the liberal arts. The objective is “to expose professors to the day-to-day operations of an advertising agency, marketing or media company; and to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas between academia and industry. The VPP gives professors a greater understanding of and appreciation for the industry while host companies have an opportunity to develop closer ties to academia.”

Peruta will be placed at R/GA, a full-service interactive, digital advertising agency in New York City that specializes in creating media for digital advertising, mobile platforms, retail and out-of-home experiences. Their clients include Nike, Verizon and HBO.

At the Park School of Communications, Peruta teaches courses such as: Advertising, Copywriting & Art Direction, Brand Design & Communication and Digital Journalism. In addition to teaching, Peruta is the brand manager for Gopher Grocery Inc., an online grocery delivery company based in Minneapolis, MN.
