Join IC Human Rights and the IC Asian American Alliance as we welcome LiNK (Liberty in North Korea) back to Ithaca College for their 2011 tour: The Reliance.

This Thursday, December 8, at 8:00 pm in Textor 101, LiNK will be screening their new film "Hiding" on the human rights crisis in North Korea. This event is free and open to the public.

The government of North Korea currently provides its citizens with essentially no human rights. North Koreans experience a lack of freedom of speech and press, political concentration camps, and a devastating food crisis. When they try to escape to neighboring China, they must hide or else the Chinese government will send them right back to North Korea, where they will be jailed for escaping.

Every year LiNK sends out teams of nomads and traveling representatives to spread awareness about the human rights crisis taking place in North Korea.

“Hiding” delves into the complicated refugee crisis in China and explains some crucial North Korean history, shedding light on how the government has obtained such absolute control.

Even if you came last year, come again! This cut of "Hiding" has 70% new footage!
