Citizenship Across the Curriculum was cited as "a ground-breaking book" in "A Crucible Moment: College Learning & Democracy’s Future." This report from The National Task Force on Civic Learning and Democratic Engagement is an urgent call for higher education in the United States to reinforce its civic mission at a time when vocationalism too often dominates the discussion about the value of a college education.
