Dickens in Ithaca presents: The Mutual Friend starring John Anderson (Performance Studies, Emerson College)

John Anderson performs The Mutual Friend, Friday, March 30 at 7:30pm, in Park Auditorium. Free admission thanks to sponsorship of Communication Studies, English and Honors.

John Dennis Anderson’s performance is a solo presentation in the character of George Dolby, the manager of Dickens's famous reading tours, from the biographical novel The Mutual Friend by Frederick Busch.  Anderson constructs a rich personal, historical and literary tapestry, then conducts a talkback after the performance, with questions from the audience.

A recipient of numerous Chautauqua grants, Anderson performs nationally his one-person shows as authors Henry James, William Faulkner, Washington Irving, Lynn Riggs, and Robert Frost.
