After Dinner Mint | "Gypsy in Me"
9/23/13 | 7 p.m. | Hockett Family Recital Hall
Gypsies—nomadic, free-spirited people tied to the shape-shifting nature of seasonal work, itinerant trade, and fortune telling—have been the intrigue and inspiration of composers for centuries.
Embracing the gypsy culture and its mysterious, threadbare music, this season’s first After Dinner Mint concert will feature a tribe of Ithaca College School of Music faculty, performing their interpretations of the gypsy soundscape. Come find the gypsy in you!
