Four Ithaca College faculty members presented at the ATHE conference in July.
Four Ithaca College faculty members, Wendy Dann, Cynthia Henderson, Annette Levine and Chrystyna Dail presented at the Association for Theatre in Higher Education Conference held in Scottsdale,AZ in July.
- Wendy Dann, Assistant Professor of Directing, presented "The Directing Classroom as Laboratory" as part of the 'Best Practices in Teaching Beginning Directing' panel.
- Cynthia Henderson, Associate Professor of Acting, was a roundtable participant on the panel, "Shuo Meng Hua (Talking in my Dreams): Using Drama for English and Chinese Language Learning."
- Annette Levine, Associate Professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, presented her paper, "Who Are We (Not) To Perform This?" on the 'Transnational Visions: Performative Interventions in Latin American and Latina/o Performance' panel.
- Chrystyna Dail, Assistant Professor of Theatre History, presented her paper, "The Bitter Taste of Sugar: U.S. Colonialist Tactics Explored in Who Are the Weavers?" on the 'Race, Space, and Appropriation of Territory: Re-Historicizing the Other in American Theatre' panel.
The 2014 ATHE conference theme was "Dream Acts: Performance as Refuge, Resistance, and Renewal."
