Sakai - New Tools and Brief Outage at 5:00 AM on September 9th

Brief Outage
Sakai will be unavailable for about 5 minutes around 5:00 AM on Friday, September 9th in order to implement the new Attendance tool. In addition, several 3rd-party tools are now available to connect with Sakai.

How to Create the Sakai Connections Yourself:
If you're an instructor in a Sakai site you can create connections between Sakai and the above 3rd party tools. Here are the steps:

  1. Enter your Sakai course site
  2. Click on "Site Info"
  3. Click "Edit Tools"
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the Tools page and Click "Plugin Tools"
  5. Tick the box next to the tool you want to add
  6. Click "Continue"
  7. Click "Finish"

A link to the tool will appear at the bottom of your Sakai navigation menu (on the left). Now you're ready to make your connection!
