Paula Turkon (Environmental Studies and Sciences) publishes article on tree-ring research in Mexico

Her article, “Applications of Dendrochronology in Northwestern Mexico,” presents the first application of dendroarchaeology in Mesoamerica.  The research uses prehispanic tree-ring data to demonstrate the potential of this method as a tool to control time and reconstruct past climate.
