Students from Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Therapeutic Recreation, all came together for an Interprofessional Education Event on October 1st, 2018. The event was focused on rehabilitation of patients after a stroke. The students had three experiences: a panel of patients from the community who had a stroke, a panel of clinicians from the area, and a discussion of a case. 175 students participated in the event which focused on the Interprofessional Collaboration Core Competencies of Values/Ethics, Roles/Responsibilities, Interprofessional Communication, and Teams & Teamwork.
