The event was focused on rehabilitation of patients after a stroke. The students had three experiences: a panel of patients from the community who had a stroke, a panel of clinicians from the area, and a discussion of a case. 175 students participated in the event which focused on the Interprofessional Collaboration Core Competencies of Values/Ethics, Roles/Responsibilities, Interprofessional Communication, and Teams & Teamwork.

Students from Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Therapeutic Recreation, all came together for an Interprofessional Education Event on October 1st, 2018.
planning committee, to previous clients for their participation on
the client panel, to professionals on the clinician panel, and finally
to faculty or area professional facilitators who facilitated
discussions re: interprofessional education (IPE) with all of these
HSHP students.
