Add your favorite memory of a library experience or library book to our Library Community Tree during National Library Week (April 7-13th) at Ithaca College Library.
Do you have a favorite memory of a library? You can write a wish or a short poem about an experience with books, learning or knowledge. Write it on a card and hang it on our Library Community Tree during National Library Week from April 7th to the 13th. Take a photo of your remembrance and share it on our Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram sites. This installation is inspired by Yoko Ono’s IMAGINE PEACE Wish Tree (1996) (see photo, right).
From 12:00 to 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 11th stop by the Popular Periodicals shelf and try our button maker. Make your dream button and take one home! The library will supply images or feel free to bring your own.
Remember to stop at one of the Library’s service desks and pick up a lollipop.
National Library Week is sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries across the country each April. Since 1958, it has been a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and library staff. The Library’s flag, which displays the international library symbol, will fly on the campus’s special flagpole throughout the week.
