Libraries=Strong Communities: Celebrate National Library Week at IC Library with memories, buttons and lollipopsContributed by Cathy Michael on 04/04/19 Add your favorite memory of a library experience or library book to our Library Community Tree during National Library Week (April 7-13th) at Ithaca College Library. Do you have a favorite memory of a library? You can write a wish or a short poem about an experience with books, learning or knowledge. Write it on a card and hang it on our Library Community Tree during National Library Week from April 7th to the 13th. Take a photo of your remembrance and share it on our Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram sites. This installation is inspired by Yoko Ono’s IMAGINE PEACE Wish Tree (1996) (see photo, right). Remember to stop at one of the Library’s service desks and pick up a lollipop. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Cathy H Michael at cmichael@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-1293. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible. |
