Apple Recalls Laptop Computers - Follow-up

This is a follow-up to the Apple recall announcement recently posted by Environmental Health and Safety regarding a battery problem with a limited number of older MacBook Pros which could cause a potential safety risk.

Information Technology has determined that no College-owned computers are known to be affected by this problem.

If you have a personally-owned 15-inch MacBook Pro, Apple has provided a web site with instructions for checking whether your device is eligible for the recall program.

If your computer is affected, Apple advises that you stop using the device and have it serviced. Ithaca College's fixIT shop is an Apple Authorized Service Provider and can perform this service at no charge.
