Introducing Microsoft Teams for Education

Microsoft Teams – widely used for committees, departments, research teams, and student groups – was enabled for students, faculty, and staff in September 2018. Teams has also been used for academic collaboration, including student research groups and courses.

Why Use Teams with Your Students?

• Engage in rich online conversations in your team or in one-to-one or group chats, and hold audio and video meetings
• Share files, media, and other content with your class; use channels in teams to organize information; and use robust embedded search to find what you need
• Collaborate in real-time in online versions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote
• Take advantage of robust accessibility features to support an inclusive classroom
