Patricia Zimmermann, Professor of Screen Studies and Codirector of the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival, published a co-authored analytical conversation with Caren Kaplan unpacking and analyzing the use of drones during the COVID-19 international shelter-in-place directives.
The piece is entitled "Coronavirus Drones Genres: Spectacles of Distance and Melancholia." It also features an imbedded playlist of drone videos from cities across the globe on lockdown during the pandemic.
