Donathan Brown

An assistant professor in the Department of Communication Studies, Donathan Brown serves as the program coordinator for the Culture and Communication major and chair of the Dissertation Diversity Fellowship Program. His research focuses on the intersection of race, rhetoric, and public policy, particularly pertaining to African Americans and Latinos, and he is the lead author of the books When Race and Policy Collide: Contemporary Immigration Debates (2014) and Voting Rights Under Fire: The Continuing Struggle for People of Color. He holds a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University.
