Presidential Search

A professor of English, Claire Gleitman also serves on the faculty of the Honors Program and Women’s and Gender Studies Program. She teaches courses in literature and drama, and her research interests focus primarily on modern and contemporary Irish and American drama. In 2011, she interviewed playwright Tony Kushner as part of the Distinguished Speaker in the Humanities Lecture Series. She has written her own two-act play, Speech Acts, and regularly directs the college’s On the Verge reader’s theatre group. Her honors include the Ithaca College Excellence in Teaching Award.
