Gerontology Institute: Aging Gracefully
Celebrating 15 years of education, research, outreach, and innovation
The Gerontology Institute marked its 15th anniversary in November with a celebration of the institute’s achievements, including the addition of a major and minor in aging studies; participation in the Gerontology Infusion in the Public Schools Project; founding membership in the Finger Lakes Geriatric Education Center consortium; hosting the first New York State Rural Aging Summit, held last year; and the dedication of the Linden Center for Creativity and Aging. The celebration included special recognition for anthropology professor Joel Savishinsky’s contributions to the study of gerontology.
