President Names Two Key Players

Two key administrators have recently joined the Ithaca College staff, reporting directly to President Tom Rochon. Eric Maguire arrived in June as vice president for enrollment management, and Anthony Hopson fills the new position of associate vice president for community and government relations.

Maguire comes to Ithaca from Franklin and Marshall College, where for the last nine years he has held positions of increasing responsibility in admissions and enrollment management, leading F&M to new levels of enrollment success, setting institutional records for applications (with particular gains from underrepresented students), selectivity, and quality. Ithaca College recently re-organized the Office of Enrollment Management; Maguire serves as the College’s undergraduate enrollment planning and strategy leader and sits on President’s Council.

Hopson had held various administrative positions at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Capital Community College, and the University of Connecticut–West Hartford. He will be providing strategic direction and leadership in promoting College-community relations and College-government relations, participating in planning and policy development, and serving as the president’s representative in various settings.
