Clarification on Workplace Harassment Prevention Training

Workplace harassment is a decades-old problem, and given the current events, prevention training is important as ever. The context of this training not only speaks to current events, but it is also strategically aligned with our college’s commitment to improve campus climate and to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive campus community.  This responsibility rests with all of us.

We have received robust feedback in response to our request for all employees to complete the mandatory harassment prevention training* and we are dedicated to responding to those concerns.  Some of you have also shared some concerns about the validity of the email communication.  In response to those concerns and in collaboration with faculty and staff council leadership, we offer the following guidance:
