Ithaca College is committed to maintaining a campus work environment that promotes dignity and respect for all employees.  Our College community values a respectful environment that is free from harassment and/or discrimination based on an employee’s status as a member of a protected class including, but not limited to age, race, religion, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, and military status.  Workplace harassment has a detrimental impact on the workplace environment and Ithaca College has zero tolerance for behaviors and actions that encourage, support, or incite workplace harassment.

The College takes proactive measure to heighten awareness about workplace harassment and the prevention thereof and encourages employees to become familiar with all policies, procedures and guidance regarding workplace harassment. As such, all employees are provided the following resources to ensure a workplace that is free from harassment:

1) Policies, procedures, and guidance regarding workplace harassment

2) Mandatory online Workplace Harassment Prevention training (required to be completed by all employees annually)

All college employees (faculty, staff, administrators and student employees) will be receiving emails with the link to complete the online Workplace Harassment Prevention training by the end of this week.  The mandatory training module must be completed by Friday, December 1, 2017.  The training is web-based and takes approximately 60-120 minutes to complete.  The Office of Human Resources has reserved work stations on the Ground Floor of the Peggy Ryan Williams building for employees who may not have access to computers in order to complete the required training.  If you do not have access and would like to reserve a space in Human Resources, please contact their office at 607-274-8000 to schedule time to complete the training.
