Renovations (Almost) Complete! IC Square Open

The old Food Court and Pub/Coffee House areas received a major "facelift" this summer. Spearheaded by the Office of Construction Planning and Design, work took place to create more seating, increase lighting, and add functionality to the areas.

Based on a design incorporating elements from the historical Boardman House (from Ithaca College's years in downtown Ithaca), the entire area has been revitalized and is ready for the campus community.

Named IC Square by the 2004 senior class, this area of the Campus Center contains the Food Court, La Vincita, and the IC Square private meeting/dining room (formerly room 110).

The Food Court and stage areas of IC Square opened on Friday, August 20, and the lower section (containing the IC Square private meeting/dining room) should open by mid September. Please note that final work in all areas is on-going, with new chairs, backs for the benches, sound and lighting systems, etc. coming within the next few weeks.

The 2004 senior class gift to Ithaca College was for memorabilia for IC Square. Over the course of the coming year, you will see exciting changes to the area including the mounting of memorabilia, and artistic additions highlighting the history of Ithaca College.

If you are interested in holding an event in IC Square or the IC Square private meeting/dining room, please contact the Office of Conference and Event Services.
