Ahem, ahem.... hi... is this thing on? (taps microphone. drinks water. straightens collar. cracks knuckles).  It's time (echoes of: time, time, time) to step away from your work station or from your computer -- (crowd gasps. bubble gum pops. a parrot screeches) and get moving! (crowd hesitates. applause. high-fives posted on Zoom screen).

All you need to do is sign up for the staff steps challenge to kick off June's IC Staff Spirit Month at: ithaca.campuslabs.com/engage/submitter/form/start/486209. You may walk or alternate with various activities of your choosing (e.g. dancing, swimming, weights, jump rope, yoga,  etc.)  How great is that?! Register now (deadline is tonight), and you'll receive more information including how you can track your steps/activity. So, let's do this! (mic drop.)

Presented by Staff Council's Employee Engagement Committee.

As we begin to wrap-up this spring semester, we are already looking forward to welcoming our new and returning students to South Hill in the fall. We are anticipating a move-in to the residence halls that looks and feels a little closer to what we have traditionally done in the past, which has always been an incredible way to welcome our students to campus. We need the support of all our community members to make this a successful move-in!

Ithaca College is looking for volunteers on May 8th to have a presence in the community and provide support to students on a day that in the past has typically involved mass gatherings, most commonly known as Kendall Day. Volunteers will be stationed at different locations around Pennsylvania Ave. and Kendall Ave. The main goal of volunteers is to redirect people going to Kendall and Pennsylvania, offering alternative options and providing support. As a community we have worked very hard to keep COVID-19 cases low. Those that volunteer will be helping to keep our community safe.
