Time to get serious about your bidding strategy. While you are doing that, see our raffle tabling schedule below!
It's time to fish or cut bait! You will be offered several opportunities to buy raffle tickets to our four fabulous raffles -- the Fab Four, if you will -- over the next two weeks. Yes, we are giving YOU the opportunity to grab up as many tickets as you can before your best friend and your favorite professor beat you to it! Let's take a minute to recap the Fab Four:
#1 is the 50/50 raffle -- how easy can it get to walk away with big bucks? The idea is simple: we take half of the ticket money and you get the other half. Simple! Better bring a big wallet -- last year's winner got over $100!
#2 is the Money Tree. Who says money doesn't grow on trees?! This one has been carefully nurtured and has produced currency in several denominations, all hanging plump and juicy from the the tree's wee branches. Only YOU will know how much this tree is worth ... we won't say for sure, but we CAN tell you it is over $25!
#3 is the Gift Card Basket. Talk about life on Easy Street! Win this baby and you get assorted gift cards to impressive locations, with a total value of $250! There is even a gas card in there -- it's worth it just for that alone!
#4 is our trademark Chocolate Basket. Eat your weight in chocolate and feel good about it! Chock full of edible and non-edible, chocolate-related items, you will be smiling for months after winning this basket. (There is so much chocolate, it will take you MONTHS to eat it!)
Now that we have your attention, here are our tabling locations and times:
We will be selling raffle tickets from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Campus Center lobby on the following dates: March 17, 19, 21, 24, 25, 28, 31, and April 1. Come and make friends with your chocolate basket and see our representative money tree and gift cards! Tickets are $1 each, 5 for $3, or 20 for $10 (guess which one is the best deal?).
The Bursar's Benefit Auction will be held on Wednesday, April 2, in the Clark Lounge of the Campus Center. The Silent Auction will run from 10:00 a.m. to noon, followed by the live auction from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Auctioneers Sam Lapp and Duane Corbin are taking time out from their world tour to join us. All proceeds will go to Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services (CARS) and Southside Community Center!
