It's easy to copy content from one semester to the next using the Blackboard online courseware system!

To move content:

  1. Activate your course in Blackboard through HomerConnect
  2. Log into Blackboard at http://courses.ithaca.edu.
  3. You will have 3 options:
    • set up a blank course
    • copy content from another course
    • import content from file
  4. Choose the Copy content from another course option
  5. A screen with all the courses you have designer privileges will appear.
  6. Select the section from which you want to copy content
  7. Click Continue.
  8. Wait a few moments until the content is copied.

Your course is now updated with content. Repeat this process for any other courses. Additional information is available in the Blackboard Quick Guide. To activate the course shell through HomerConnect, see the Blackboard Frequently Asked Questions. Blackboard workshops are being offered on a regular basis in the Technology Learning Center, Friends 101 and drop in support is available in the Center for Educational Technology through Finals Week.

Remember, all courses using WebCT must be migrated to Blackboard by Monday January 12, 2009!
