Attention Faculty:

On Monday, November 16, 2009, ITS will be installing a crucial update to the Blackboard Homer grouping tool.  As a result, some changes will occur that affect course creation and enrollment updates for the Fall 2009 term.

Beginning Monday, November 16, 2009:

  1. Faculty will no longer be able to activate new Blackboard courses for the Fall 2009 term through HomerConnect. Please contact the ITS Helpdesk if you need a course created in Blackboard during the remainder of the semester.
  2. Automatic updates to student enrollment will be discontinued for this term. Faculty will still be able to add auditors to their courses manually in the Teach tab by entering the Grade Book tool and selecting the “Enroll Members” button. If this option does not meet your needs and if a student needs to be added or deleted from a course after November 16th, contact the Helpdesk and provide us with the course, section number and student's first and last name.

These measures are temporary and only affect the Fall 2009 term. We apologize for the inconvenience.
