In collaboration with the Office of Programs and Outreach, the weekly D&I Discussion Circle will host a special workshop training focused on how to be an ally with IC alum, Cornell Woodson.  Please join us on Wednesday, March 22 at noon (12pm) in the Taughannock Falls Room

Allyship: What Does It Really Look Like?
With the current climate on college and university campuses, everyone is asking themselves how they can help make spaces more inclusive. While making inclusive spaces is a life long journey, there are actions people can take every day to create spaces where everyone can show up authentically. Through personal narrative, dialogue, and interactive activities; this workshops will provide participants with action items they can immediately implement in their everyday lives.

The Diversity and Inclusion Discussion Circle gathers weekly on Wednesdays at noon (typically in Klingenstein Lounge). One to two times a month, a guest presenter leads a discussion to take a deeper look at a topic related to diversity and inclusion.  During the Wednesday sessions where there are no presentations scheduled, we share reactions to current events and/or discuss presentations and articles that relate to the topic of diversity and inclusion.  Members of the campus community are welcome to attend.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Jaimie Voorhees at jvoorhees@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3118. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
