The blood drive is being organized by friends of the Perkins family. Kelly’s parents, Debbie and Enoch, are both longtime Ithaca College employees, and she was a graduate of Newark Valley Senior High School. More information can be found on the Facebook event page. The Newark Valley Fire Department is hosting a blood drive with the American Red Cross to honor the memory of Kelly Perkins, the Ithaca College first-year student who was killed in an automobile accident on March 4. The drive will take place on Monday, April 15, from 1:00–6:00 p.m. at the Newark Valley Fire Hall, located at 7151 State Route 38 in Newark Valley.
