Teatro will present a bilingual staged reading of La historia de nuestras vidas/The Story of Our Lives en homenaje a todos los indocumentados que viven día a día en los Estados Unidos, temiendo a la migra... in honor of all whom are undocumented and live day-to-day in the United States, fearing deportation...

The performance will be followed by a discussion with Professor Donathan L.  Brown of the Department of Communication Studies.

Assistant Professor Donathan Brown has recently co-authored a book with Syracuse University professor Amardo Rodriguez, titled When Race and Policy Collide: Contemporary Immigration Debates

In the summer of 2002, Katharine Kittredge was doing research in the Hampshire Record Office (Winchester, UK) when she stumbled upon a profoundly moving document: an 1807 journal describing the life and sudden death of a young child.  Intrigued, she embarked on a quest to learn more about the journal’s author, the Anglo-Irish diarist  Melesina Trench (1768-1827).

Thank you to all of our guest filmmakers, new media artists, musicians, scholars, scientists, journalists, activists, industry professionals, distributors, bloggers, interns, graduate fellows, junior fellows, Ithaca College faculty and festival goers for making the 17th Annual Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival a success!

Together, you created moving events, intense conversations, and meaningful dialogues that took us all beyond our comfort zone--and into dissonance.

Special thanks to Cinemapolis, Ithaca's local nonprofit art cinema for all of their contributions to the festival.

FLEFF: A DIFFERENT ENVIRONMENT

 The time has come to commemorate Latin@s as an integral part of this community through a public display of art. CULTURA and the Latino Civic Association are excited to commission an artist to paint a mural that celebrates our community's Latin@ culture. Latin@ culture is immensely diverse and we welcome submissions that honor a particular Latin American heritage, as well as submissions that encompass Latin@ culture in general or locally. A wide array of Latin@s live in Tompkins County that work, study and/or care for their families and each other. Latin@s have lived here for several generations, many are native to the US or have migrated here from other countries. The Latin@ Mural Project provides a platform for the message of Latinidad.

April 2014 launched the start of the annual performance review season.  The annual staff evaluation is a key component of the College's performance management process and provides a valuable opportunity for managers and their staff to review and discuss past performance, clarify job duties, set goals and establish expectations for the coming year.  The review process will continue to follow the same overall approach and forms consistent with last year, and it is an expectation that all staff participate in the process.

ITS has been working to address the Heartbleed open SSL vulnerability as reported on the popular press and has already patched our major systems that may have been vulnerable. ITS continues to research and analyze this issue and its impact on the systems and services that the campus community uses.
