International Club of Ithaca College and Feminists United are collaborating to bring IC an enriching opportunity to discuss global commodity chains and social justice. Guest speaker Bhavani Arabandi, assistant professor from the department of sociology, will give a talk on gender roles and globalization.

Come join us for the stories behind the products that are designed, manufactured, and marketed around the world through global commodity chains. There will be refreshments and comfortable seating.

IC Kicks Back Needs You!

Calling all volunteers for this year’s IC Kicks Back! We need a grand total of 30 volunteers to help with various jobs throughout the afternoon. Some jobs include:

-Maintaining lines for the inflatables and photo booths

-Checking IDs

-Taking photos of the event

A FREE IC Kicks Back T-shirt will be included!

Holla for Challah!

IC Challah for Hunger is selling challah Friday’s in Campus Center from 11-2pm every week! Flavors include regular, chocolate chip, and cinnamon sugar and cinnamon sugar raisin. The proceeds will be donated to genocide relief in Darfur through American Jewish World Service (AJWS) and the Food Bank of the Southern Tier.

What is a Jumpstart Leader?  Jumpstart Leaders participate in each Jumpstart program in a leadership capacity by serving as a valuable source of information and advising students about their college experience. Students have the opportunity to apply to be a Jumpstart Leader for one of the four programs: Community Plunge, Lead-In, ECHO, and the GREEN Tour.

 

Applications are available from March 17-March 28.

 March is Nutrition Month and we're inviting you to join Team No Kid Hungry! 

Donations are being taken at all dining retail locations and all proceeds will go to The BackPack Program for Food Bank of the Southern Tier. The BackPack program ensures that children in need don't go hungry over the weekend when they aren't in school. Every Friday, those children receive their food, placed discreetly into their backpacks. The need to supply children from low-income families is consistently rising. It only costs $3.00 to fill a backpack, but any amount helps!

Ron G, known as one of the hottest upcoming comedians in LA, will open for Seth Meyers when he performs at Ithaca College on April 12.

Ron G was a finalist on Last Comic Standing and named the 2010 College Comic of the Year. He is also a 2013 recipient of a one-year talent holding deal with NBCUniversal.
