Come celebrate Halloween and help Haiti this Tuesday, October 26th from 7-9 p.m.at IC Square. 
There will be:
- candy
- pumpkin carving
- information about Haitian culture, the destruction from the earthquake, and efforts that have been made so far. 

Donations will be accepted for Zanmi Lasante, a health clinic in Haiti.

Arhlene A. Flowers, assistant professor in Integrated Marketing Communications, was published in M/C Journal, based in Australia with international content. The fully blind peer-reviewed academic journal was founded as M/C - A Journal of Media and Culture in 1998 as a place of public intellectualism analyzing and critiquing the meeting of media and culture. Each issue focuses on a one-word theme; the current issue's theme is "pig."

The issue’s editors in their introduction, “Pig: A Scholarly View,” wrote about Professor Flowers' article:

Feminism can be added to this list of social movements, with Arhlene Ann Flowers drawing attention to the power of language in her article “Swine Semantics in U.S. Politics: Who Put Lipstick on the Pig?”.
