As the spring semester gets into full swing, Ithaca College is encouraging students, faculty, and staff who have not already done so to sign up for the Emergency Notification System (ENS), which uses voice, e-mail, and text messaging to provide time-sensitive information and details on appropriate responses during critical situations.

Tracy Frenyea, the Park School's Academic Counselor, has accepted a position at SUNY Cortland. Her new role will be Coordinator of Graduate Student Services.

Frenyea came to Ithaca College as the Assistant Registrar in fall 2006, and moved to the Park School in June 2008. Her last day here will be February 19.

The São Paulo University Percussion Ensemble will give a free concert at Ithaca College on Tuesday, February 9.  Part of an extensive North American tour, the entire program will consist of Brazilian music.

Ann Marie Wilcox-Daehn will give a free faculty voice recital along with pianist Charis Dimaras on Sunday, February 7 at 4:00 in the Hockett Family Recital Hall.  The program will include music of Manuel da Falla, Francis Poulenc, Libby Larsen, and lesser known pieces by the songwriting team of Zina Goldrich and Marcy Heisler.

Notification of Absence

Students should communicate directly with their faculty when they need to miss a class for health or family emergencies, for court appearances,etc. Faculty who require documentation of student absences should communicate directly with their students. The Office of Student Affairs and Campus Life no longer issues “Notifications of Absence.”
