The colloquium, held January 20-23, 2008, was organized by the Center National de l'audivisuel, in collaboration with the University of Luxembourg, to inaugurate the new national film archive facility in Luxembourg.

The Life and Legacy of Rod Serling, a two-day conference sponsored by the Park School of Communications, will be held March 28 and 29.

Registrations are now being accepted for the event, which will feature presentations of academic papers, panel discussions, screenings, and the results of a nationwide Rod Serling scriptwriting competition.

There has been a very successful ongoing speaker series at Longview, a retirement community located across and up the road from campus, since the facility's partnership with IC began in spring 1999.

There is currently a need for faculty/staff volunteers for these informal monthly talks. The topics can be academic in nature, or related to areas of personal interest. Poetry readings, slide shows, films, and music, dance and dramatic performances are also welcome. An appreciative audience is guaranteed!
