The online submission process for faculty sponsors/students to submit student presentations for the 22nd Annual James J. Whalen Symposium will close on March 4, 2019.  Submissions will be accepted for presentations, performances, and displays.

Submit your presentation, performance, creative work, or poster presentation. Once the form(s) is/are submitted, you and your faculty sponsor will receive an e-mail detailing next steps.

Show us what you got at the 22nd Whalen Symposium! 

Don't be fooled into thinking that only poster presentations and lectures are welcome to the Symposium. We also accept, Live Performance AND Works of Visual and Media Art. Students are encouraged to present, photography, art work, solo performances, ensembles, monologues, scene work, sculptures, costume and set design, and other creative scholarship works.

In 2019, we'll be offering a variety of different types of programs in countries across the globe. Short-term study abroad is a great way to expand your horizons and satisfy degree requirements without missing a full semester on campus!  Come to a summer study abroad info session for an overview of available opportunities:

Catholic Mass Schedule for Feb. 3

 Next week, the Catholic Community will only offer the 1 PM Mass due to the Super Bowl taking place later in the day. 

All students, faculty and staff are invited to attend Mass and receive a special blessing for the Feast of St. Blaise.

 All students are invited to participate in this year's Kairos Retreat. Kairos is a retreat open to students looking to reflect on their relationship with God, self and others. The Kairos Retreat is led by students from the Catholic Communities at Ithaca College and Cornell and is an opportunity to grow in faith in a supportive community. The retreat will take place at Christ the King Retreat Center in Syracuse.

 What are you doing for spring break? Think about service! The Catholic Community is offering a spring break trip to the Romero Center in Camden, NJ from Sunday March 10- Friday March 15. 

The Romero Center, named after St. Oscar Romero, works in a variety of places such as nursing homes, soup kitchens, after school programs and more!

Come support the men's and women's track and field teams this weekend (2/2-2/3),  as they dedicate their meet to Ithaca College Unites for HER, an organization that works to raise money to provide complementary services to those diagnosed with breast cancer in the Ithaca College community! The meet starts at 10am on both Saturday and Sunday in the A&E Center. Please wear pink to show your support.
