Come support the men's and women's basketball teams this Saturday (1/26),  as they dedicate their games to Ithaca College Unites for HER, an organization that works to raise money to provide complementary services to those diagnosed with breast cancer in the Ithaca College community! The women's game start at 2pm, and the men's at 4pm in the Ben Light Gymnasium (Hill Gym). Please wear pink to show your support!

Once upon a time there was a student we’ll call “Floyd.”  Floyd elected to take a class S/D/F, which he thought meant the same thing as “Pass/Fail.”  Floyd did just enough work to barely pass the class.  To his dismay, he got a “D” in the class, which lowered his GPA.  Don’t be like Floyd!

The Hammond Health Center will be closed from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2019 so that the staff can attend mandatory staff development. No services will be available during this time. The Health Center will reopen at 1 p.m. for scheduled appointments. Medication pick up will also be available after 1 p.m.

The online submission process for faculty sponsors/students to submit student presentations for the 22nd Annual James J. Whalen Symposium will close on March 4, 2019.  Submissions will be accepted for presentations, performances, and displays.

Submit your presentation, performance, creative work, or poster presentation.

The Eastern Region Campus Compact recently announced Dr. David Harker, Director of IC's Center for Civic Engagement, as one of 12 faculty and staff selected from a highly competitive pool as 2019-2020 Engaged Scholars. The Engaged Scholars Initiative seeks to develop, support and connect leaders who can advance co-created knowledge, critically engaged pedagogies, institutional change, and collaborative action to address societal issues. Ithaca College is partnering with the Food Bank of the Southern Tier again this semester to bring a mobile food pantry to our campus. The Mobile Food Pantry is used to deliver fresh produce, dairy products, and other food and grocery items directly to distribution sites where people need food. This one-credit Service Learning experience devoted to teaching Spanish to children within the Ithaca community is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the Ithaca public school system and use your Spanish in meaningful and fun ways. We are partnering with music and gym teachers to teach Spanish through those mediums!
