Are you interested in studying abroad and earning course credit? The Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies offers a course open to all students on campus called Sustainable Tourism. The course is being offered Fall 2017 with a study abroad trip scheduled over winter break. Barbara Gaines '79 will share reflections on what the professional world is like for those in the LGBTQ community, Wednesday, April 5, 3:00 pm, Klingenstein Lounge, Campus Center.

Among her many professional experiences and accomplishments, she was Executive Producer of the Late Show with David Letterman, and worked for Letterman for 35 years and over 6,028 episodes, beginning with his morning show in 1980. In her nineteen years as a producer for the Late Show, she received fourteen Emmy nominations and won five Emmy Awards. Gaines and her wife of 24 years were married by Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum in 1993 and wed legally in San Francisco in 2008. They have a 10-year-old son. We are excited to welcome her to campus to share her reflections and expertise. Sponsored by the Center for LGBT Education, Outreach & Services.

Ithaca College Theatre’s production of “The Cradle Will Rock” offers a musical window to the workers’ rights movement of the 1930s.
