Faculty Recital: Ithaca Brass

The Ithaca College School of Music's resident faculty brass quintet, will give a free concert featuring works by Viktor Ewald, Robert Sanders, and Dmitry Shostakovitch.

Established in 1966, the group has performed at regional, state, and national conferences of educators and professional music organizations throughout the United States. The ensemble has also given hundreds of performances at schools and colleges as well as for community concert series in the Northeast.

Ithaca Brass has commissioned several works, including compositions from Chuck Mangione and Malcolm Lewis. Each member of the quintet is an accomplished performer and teacher who is conversant in virtually every musical language, from classical to jazz.

The members of the Ithaca Brass are trumpeters Frank Campos and Jane Dunnick, French horn player Alex Shuhan, trombonist Harold Reynolds, and tuba player David Unland.
