The anthropology department is offering a new course with special relevance to today's headlines.

Changing relations between Jews and Muslims will be an important and timely theme in next fall’s course 339-325 Jewish Cultures: A Worldwide View. With an emphasis on historical and cultural context, the course will introduce traditional Jewish communities from the Middle East (including Iraq), South Asia, and North Africa, as well as Latin America and Europe. Please advise students that all are welcome, with no expectation of prior knowledge of Jewish culture.
