IC Softball Wins Empire 8 Title

Ithaca College swept host Rochester Institute of Technology in a doubleheader on Tuesday to clinch the Empire 8 regular-season title for the third straight year. Ithaca won 7-1 and 6-2, hitting four home runs in the two games.

As the league's regular-season champion, Ithaca will be the top seed and host school for the Empire 8 championship tournament, which will be held May 2-3 at Kostrinsky Field. The winner of the four-team tournament receives an automatic bid to the NCAA playoffs.
