Mead Loop '88, assistant professor of journalism, was awarded third place for his paper, "A Journalism Partnership," by the scholastic journalism division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC).

The Innovative Outreach to Scholastic Journalism competition focused on finding model collaborative programs between colleges and high schools. Professor Loop highlighted the Park School's Summer Media Workshop with Frederick Douglass Academy students as well as how IC's partnership with FDA goes beyond journalism to include other disciplines outside the Park School.

The award will be presented at the August AEJMC convention in Kansas City and award winning examples will be posted in the near future at Scholastic Journalism Division
