Assistant professor of TV-R, Gordon Webb, integrated real-world experience into his spring media writing course curriculum -- and the benefits proved to be delicious.

Gordon Webb and the winning team (l-r): Rob Snyder '06, Jaqueline Willemsen '06, Diane Abramowitz '03, Davian Akers '03, Dan Henning '06, and Jatin Prabhu '04.
Working in teams of six, each team was charged with creating a TV/radio campaign for the John Thomas Steakhouse. As a result, the freshman and sophomore students learned how to work with a real client and to manage a project from concept through completion.

John Thomas Steakhouse owner Mike Kelly was so impressed with the idea he offered a free dinner as a prize to the best team. On the day of the presentations, Kelly came to Park and sat in on the class. The winning team is pictured with Gordon Webb at the restaurant, enjoying their prize.
