Ithaca College finished in ninth place in the final standings for the National Association of College Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Directors' Cup standings. The Directors’ Cup standings are determined by a school’s finish in NCAA playoff competition in selected sports.

Ithaca, who placed second in last year's standings, is one of 10 schools to have placed in the top 25 in each of the award's first eight years.

Ithaca received points for post-season appearances by baseball, women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, women's lacrosse, men's soccer, softball, women's swimming and diving, men's and women's indoor track and field, women's outdoor track and field and wrestling.

IC has finished in the top 25 each year since the cup was first awarded. Ithaca placed 16th in the first year (1995-96), sixth the following year, 18th in 1997-98, 17th in 1998-99, 21st in 1999-2000, fifth in 2000-01, and second a year ago.
