Megan Roberts, associate professor of television and radio, and her husband Raymond Ghirardo, associate professor of art, participated in the Foundation for Contemporary Art’s Studio Jeleni, an international artist-in-residence program in Prague, Czech Republic.

The highly competitive residency encourages and attracts artists from different cultures and all media to the historical center in Prague. During their May-June 2003 residency, they collaborated in a group show of mixed media and performance and exhibited their installation work.

Roberts, a composer and media artist, and Ghirardo, a sculptor and media artist, collaborate to create work that combines sound, sculpture, animation, video projection, and digital technology. Thematically their work deals with archeology, projected histories, human volition, imaginary landscape and issues of landscape representation.
