Math Community Day Figures on Fun

Contributed by Dani Novak on 07/31/03

Mathematics does not have to be foreign, scary, or boring. In its core it is part of our human experience, just like music and visual arts.

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Ithaca College, together with teachers and members of the community, are organizing Math Community Day. It will be Tuesday, August 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the third floor of Williams Hall.

Participants of all ages are invited to experience the beauty of mathematics and its connection to life, culture, and nature. There will be activities, puzzles, computer experiences, lectures, and lots of fun. It can be a wonderful opportunity for children of employees.
